The original house on this lot was razed to make way for a new one erected about 1905 by John Colson.  Fire destroyed the barn on the property in 1913.  Sheriff Samuel O. Harnden purchased the house from the Colsons in 1928, when he retired from active duty.  He was accidentally killed in a hunting accident with his own gun in 1930, and the house was sold to William H. Cole.  Two years later in 1932, Mr. Cole, a bachelor, sold the house to Eugene and Lulu Bradley.
