Jam Kitchen / Bonner Hotel

At one time, this beautiful building stood at what is now the intersection of Main Street and University Drive.  It served many different functions over the years.

Miss Ellen North, daughter of Albert and Mary, started her famous Geneseo Jam Kitchen in part of the house at 34 Main Street.  By 1912, she was using an additional building (32 Main Street) as an annex.  During World War I, she purchased the Bonner Hotel which stood where University Drive is now.  She used it for offices and storage space.

The building was razed to construct a street providing additional access to the college.
