35 Oak Street

2006

This house with Colonial Revival style features was built in 1916 for Austin W. Erwin and his bride, the former Ruth Chase of Rochester, by the local carpenter, Charles Wilson. Austin Erwin later served as Livingston County District Attorney and still later as New York State Senator. In 1929, the Erwins moved to a house on South Street, but retained possession of this house until 1944, when it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Broad.
