Hiram Leonard, a prominent local contractor, built this Queen Anne style house in 1897 and the same year sold it to Mrs. Andrew (Susannah) Willard, who had recently been widowed. When she died in 1906, the property was left to her daughter, Amanda Warford, whose husband had died in 1894. Mrs. Warford continued living here with her nephew, George Gowdy, an electrician. She died in 1922 and he inherited the property and continued living here with his wife. The house was sold to James and Gertrude Jackson in 1941 and in 1952 they sold it to Gerald and Mary June Thompson.
